Lesson never learned:
history repeats itself.
No idea about the category.

My entry to =mode-de-vie and ~Death-By-Romance's Annual Six Word Story Contest

That photograph was taken and cropped by yours truly. It fits here because that there is Mount Vesuvius overlooking Pompeii. When I visited there, I learned that Vesuvius - or Monte Suma as it was called in its first cone - had erupted before. People died and others fled, but Pompeii was rebuilt in the same spot and people continued to live there. Of course, they didn't learn that history repeats itself, and the volcano erupted once again.

Also interesting to note that Vesuvius is still the most active volcano in continental Europe - yet Pompeii and surrounding cities are bustling with tourists all the time. And Mt. E-something-I-can't-spell, the volcano that erupted earlier this year, was known to have minor eruptions before the big one that created the "volcano cloud of DOOM" over Europe.

Back to the story.

This was one of the many six word stories I came up with while teasing ^Exillior [I love you dear! : D] Some of them are rather comical, like:

"Six words. Three seconds. Logged off."
"Six word stories? Piece of cake."
"Dear Exillior: I am quite evil."
"My dear, I know almost nothing"
"I doubt you this time, dear."
"Science geeks, assemble! Not in the lab, :eyes:"
"I rather do enjoy irritating you."
~"But you're cheating, you evil girl." [hers, not mine]
"Never said I wasn't a cheater."
~"Girl, you're headed for a fall." Hers
"Fall from grace, but grace attained."
~"You completely irrepressible little minx, you!" hers
"To repress fire is to tame a minx." :noes:
~"Eight words. You fail, I win." Hers
"Prowess runs on batteries: now recharging."
"Still recharging - a low watt system."

Yes, I know. Some of those aren't stories at all. But it was an entertaining conversation. If you want to see some of those in actual context, go here: [link]

The irony is shocking isn't it?

It's so easy to see when you look at it and yet when it comes to the choice, we choose the circle all over again.
