Checking In

Hello again, all!

I'm not sure if anyone still reads these or knows that my profile still exists. I might very well be shouting into the void, but that's okay! I haven't been around at all and I stopped by recently to upload some of my nail art and I realized that I kind of miss dA.

I sort of grew up here, because this is where I went when I was going through the trauma of my pre-teen and early teenage years. So much word vomit and silliness! I turned twenty last month (which also means that it's been a year since my last update, when I had just turned nineteen!) Now I spend my time on the internet on tumblr, both on my fandom blog (mostly BBC Merlin fandom) and my photoblog.

I'm going into my final year of college in a month's time. I'll be graduating with a Bachelor's Degree in Linguistics. After that, planning to get a Master's Degree (in Public Health), and after that, a Medical Degree. In five years' time, you can call me Dr. Sheila MD MPH. Wow.

Oh! I've also deleted a lot of old photographs and artwork (not yet made inroads into the writing but I'm fond of those regardless of their quality). I never really thought I'd improved, considering I've been spending my time on other pursuits and not actively trying to improve, but a glance at my photographs then and now is really jarring. My stuff now is far more professional and sophisticated and that happened without my knowing. It's pretty rad! Thank you all for the support back then though - I joined this site more than six years ago and it's kind of amazing!
